My Art
My art is my way of communicating with the world around me, as well as how I navigate my feelings. I use it as a way to better understand myself and my environment. I am a well rounded digital artist, working in animation, concept work, and illustration. My animated work is informed by my own personal experiences and identity. I use comedy in my work as a way to communicate difficult or sensitive topics in a more causal way. I also explore traditional work through my printmaking. My experience with digital art and animation, informs my prints, as I often work out my concepts in photoshop before carving them into linoleum or expose them onto screens, much as I would develop concept work for animated works. Because of this, my print work includes stylized illustrations that echo my animation and illustrative work. My print work is heavily influenced by my queer identity, religious imagery, domesticity and relationships.
